"Depending on the season, playing backgammon next to the fireplace or during summer on the beach with a juice cocktail is always the best. We love to play with all the family, also our kids."

"The fireplace is lit and crackling and we put on some jazz music such as Esperanza Spalding on the vinyl record player. Then Pinot Noir and Burgundy reds are enjoyed out of no-stem glasses so we don't knock over any when reaching for pieces."

"I love card playing with a long drink like a whisky soda on the rocks before dinner and then after dinner with some chocolate mints. I love to play the Greek game Biriba with three or four friends or International Rummy which can take more of a crowd. And tends to get more rowdy."

"My favourite game is playing backgammon which is usually accompanied by a glass of French red wine or a vodka and tonic in a highball glass. I play purely for fun, and I was taught by my mother when I was young as she was, and still is, a very keen player who loves to win."
