1970s Murrina Murano Glass Vase

To create the intricate pattern on this 1970s vase, maestros in Murano layer together small pieces of coloured glass. This is heated until soft and pliable, and then stretched into long, thin rods. At this point, they can be arranged into the desired pattern, forming a mosaic-like sheet which is then heated to ensure all the individual pieces are fully fused as one. Please note, this item is a truly original vintage piece with slight imperfections and distinctive characteristics that add to its charm and celebrate its unique history.
