Spartan Hand-Blown Murano Glass Vase

It figures that a collection named Spartan would have a rigorous craft story behind it. To bring this vase to life, F&M Ballarin places glass rods of different colours on a firestone surface, before square, patterned glass inserts (taken from previous products) are added. After a few firings, the glass is hand blown and manipulated into shape using pliers and scissors. The end result possesses great beauty that’s sure to rival the stems within.

Since childhood, brothers Francesco and Mario Ballarin dreamed of turning their love for glassmaking into a career – something that became a reality in 1956.
