The Wolfard Glassblowing Co. was born in the garage of Jon Wolfard after a gift he made for his wife Linda – a hand-blown glass oil lamp – was quickly coveted by the couple’s friends. 52 years later, his understated yet classic lamps are still bringing a nostalgic warmth and cosiness to homes the world over. Jon pioneered the in-flame technique, whereby the resilient borosilicate glass is heated to an unusually high temperature, requiring glassblowers of exceptional skill and experience. The delicate nature of this craft results in subtle variations in each creation, with no two pieces exactly alike.
