Metal initially piqued Gabrielle Shelton’s interest during childhood, as she would spend time in her uncle’s metalwork shop before she decided to pursue it further at art school. While known for site-specific commissions, she has turned her eye to small-scale works such as bespoke chess sets crafted from scraps of carbon steel, copper and brass.
