Patterns tapped into the countrified air of Art Nouveau, while the finer details often included a sculptural finial or handle and a colour scheme of white, blue and occasionally red. This tureen is stamped with the Late Mayers mark — a pottery house founded in 1790 by Joseph Stubbs.
