Founded in 1920 as firearm makers, El Casco applied its manufacturing expertise to fine stationery and desk essentials. This chrome-plated ink blotter is manufactured in brass and finished in copper, nickel and 23-karat gold. The vintage-inspired utensil is repeatedly polished using electroplating lines to create an exceptionally lustrous shine. It's presented with blotting paper.

After producing high-quality revolvers, El Casco revitalised its existing manufacturing skills and equipment — including milling machines, buffers and electroplating baths — to create handmade stationery in the heart of Northern Spain. Today, each piece is polished a minimum of six times and automatic electroplating lines are used to resemble the high-shine finishes seen in jewellery.
