Devon-based Arwyn ... Devon-based Arwyn Jones’ love for clay started to take shape during his student years, where he developed a passion for throwing on the potter’s wheel. Ever since, he’s continued to explore the endless possibilities of clay, finding inspiration in every corner – from nature and architecture to the rich glaze traditions of North East Asia. He sources smooth, white stoneware from Valentine Clays in Stoke-on-Trent and follows a meticulous process that sees his creations dried, fired and dipped in custom-made glazes before being fired for a final time. The course takes several hours to complete and cool, making each piece a true labour of love.
