One of the world’s oldest board games, backgammon so captivated Roman Emperor Claudius that he installed a board in his carriage for games on the go. It was both revered and reviled by King Henry III, who played himself but banned his subjects over gambling concerns – a very in-character move. For Bone Club founder Guy Haslam, this ancient pastime has been a passion since he first rolled the dice aged seven. Guy’s background in furniture design, graphics and sleight-of-hand laid the perfect foundation for creating enchanting backgammon boards, handmade with mathematical precision from premium materials like American walnut, ebony, oak, brass and Gambetta leather.
