Antique and Vintage 1950s Sarreguemines Ceramic Fish Dinner Plates (Set of 6)

€395

Towards the end of the 19th century, a group of French avant-garde ceramicists determined that pottery should be regarded as an art form. The Sarreguemines pottery was established in 1784 by Nicholas-Henri, Paul-Augustin Jacobi and Joseph Fabry. It wasn’t until the 1860s that majolica was added to its production, leading to the mid-century release of the delightful Fish service. Each mood-boosting design is crafted and glazed by hand with wonderfully lifelike details. Please note, this item is a truly original vintage piece with slight imperfections and distinctive characteristics that add to its charm and celebrate its unique history.
