Illustrator Wilhelm Kage was appointed creative director of storied Swedish porcelain brand Gustavsberg in 1917 and during his tenure he created the dintinctive Argenta tableware series. This flint tray is an early example – later pieces were stoneware – with its arsenic glaze and fantastical silver decoration. Please note, this item is a truly original vintage piece with slight imperfections and distinctive characteristics that add to its charm and celebrate its unique history.
