Mahnaz Ispahani Bartos, a greatly admired New York curator, collector, and philanthropist, discovered her love of jewellery as a child through gifts from her Pakistani mother and Iranian grandmother, including Persian turquoise earrings and rings, Meenakari bangles, and an Omega watch designed by Andrew Grima. Witness to two revolutions, she set aside this young love for 25+ years of scholarship on matters of global wars and peace.
