Designed in 2009 by Mamoru Wakabayashi, this rollerball pen is decorated with finely cut bamboo leaves, using the ancient Togidashi-Taka Maki-e technique on a black Urushi lacquer surface. Sprinklings of 18-karat gold foil and powder make it a characterful addition to any pen-lover's collection.

For nearly a century, Namiki has perfected its specialised, globally-admired Maki-e fountain pens, which are individually handmade by “Kokkokai” - a talented group of Maki-e artisans which assembled in 1931.
