Ryan Roche
Ryan Roche got her start studying classic tailoring and couture sewing for two years after high school, before specialising in knitwear at San Francisco’s Academy of Art. In 2004, she moved to New York and set up base with her family, where she set out to fill the void for conscientiously made cashmere childrenswear. This led her to seek out workshops in Nepal to help her bring her special sketches to life. Soon enough, requests poured in for her pieces to be made in adult sizes too. Ever committed to a thoughtful making process, Roche uses cashmere with a long list of sustainability certifications, such as GOTS, GRS, RAF and OCS, and champions recycled yarns through her innovative buy-back programme.
