Métier’s travel-friendly chess and backgammon set was originally moulded from clay by its founder, Melissa Morris. The pieces – a nod to her background in sculpture – are inspired by her favourite 20th-century works of art. This wonderful story comes together on a natural wood board with hand-carved ebony and olive wood pieces, as well as some made from buffalo and calfskin leather. Take it wherever you go, as magnetic plates mean you can play even while on the move.
