Szklo Hand-Blown Glass Bowl

€1,115

Szkło’s designs turn glassblowing into a series of light-hearted experimentation. Under the direction of co-founder Aleksandra Zawistowska, craftspeople find the beauty in imperfection and individualism by hand-blowing purposeful forms into spirited, skewed pieces of art. The results – as exhibited with this bowl – put the fun in functionality, and take around five days to come to fruition.

Meet the Maker:

Szklo Studio

Siblings Aleksandra and Wojciech Zawistowski founded Szkło in 2022 to challenge the status quo of glassware. Guided by an organic approach, their conceptual sketches are shaped from bespoke moulds using natural materials such as stacked bricks, wood and stone – often, remains of these can be captured between the layers in the final results. Their work honours the journey from glass to sculpture through spontaneous forms that balance raw curves and edges reminiscent of melting magma with solid, brittle finishes.
