Raynaud’s Touraine collection is recognisable for its fine Limoges porcelain and hand-painted trim of two thin bands – one pastel green and one forest green. The trim is applied so thinly that only the most accomplished painter can carry it out, as the brush must follow the scalloped edge precisely. The result is a beautiful frame that’s a joy to layer with.

In 1911, Martial Raynaud established the Raynaud workshop in Limoges, enamoured by the magic of ‘white gold’ – or as it’s otherwise known, porcelain. Over the years, the name has passed through three generations, taking with it years of know-how and an eye for poetic porcelain. You’ll see its expert handiwork in the perfectly shaped moulds, the intricate painting and the meticulous chromolithography, while specific criteria in the craft tales – from sizing calculations to firing temperatures – highlights its dedication to exceptional quality.
