The Table Love The Rush Handwoven Placemats (Set of 4)

$166

The Table Love’s zero-waste philosophy sees upcycled fabrics put to work. The Rush collection utilises ikat, which is an ancient Indonesian technique where yarns are resist-dyed prior to weaving. The results, as you can see here, are lively, dynamic and sure to impart energy – and love – into your table. Each piece is woven by hand on looms by artisans in Kandal, Cambodia, using riverside rush.

Meet the Maker:

The Table Love

Founder of The Table Love Roberta Ellingsen trained as an Interior Architect in London and Milan, before expanding her expertise at several interior-based publications. It wasn’t until 2018, while on a sabbatical with her family in the Alps, that she fully explored her love of pieces for the home – and more specifically, the table. Her wonderful team is far-reaching and inclusive, with female embroiderers in Ukraine and block-print artisans in India. Plus, she doesn’t overlook her carbon footprint, applying a ‘zero spill’ policy to avoid unnecessary waste, while also opting for eco-friendly alternatives wherever possible.
