Like all things Shaker-inspired, Rikke Falkow’s creations are simple and straight to the point. Each storage object – be it a caddy, tray, box or pot – is modelled on the original drawings, and communicates ideals of honesty, utility and order through its fuss-free design. Expect cherry wood of the finest quality punctured with copper pins and wooden dowels, the same details that defined the classics more than 200 years ago.

Danish architect Rikke Falkow’s eponymous studio is guided by the Shaker community and its purity-focused philosophy. Her home accessories are designed and developed in line with these ideals, and every craft story respects the more-than-200-year-old traditions established by the 18th-century sect. Boxes, trays and other storage heroes are made by hand according to the original drawings and artisanal methods, with hand-rubbed oil finishes and hard wax fortifications for durability. Falkow selects only the highest quality cherry wood, and pieces are often finished with small but mighty details like solid copper tacks and wooden dowels.
