Hering Berlin’s Ocean collection came to be when founder Stefanie imagined a table inspired by the deep sea. The series, which takes you on an underwater voyage, is printed with hand-painted cobalt illustrations by Eleonore Gerhaher. The motifs, which vary from lobsters to sea urchins, swim across white bisque porcelain. Dive into this imaginative world and let each piece serve as a reminder of the beauty and fragility of marine life.

Meet the Maker:

Hering Berlin

Before establishing Hering Berlin in 1999, Stefanie Hering trained as a master ceramicist in Denmark, Ireland and Germany. Her interest in traditional craftsmanship soon led her to porcelain, a material she had nurtured a soft spot for since childhood. Today, her vision is realised with the help of craftspeople who are masters in their field. Expert workmanship therefore remains at the fore of her day to day as she continues her quest to make pieces that will be passed on from one generation to the next.
