Charles Sébline’s easy-breezy design language takes a new direction with the Marocaine robe. Instead of his usual Italian two-ply cotton poplin, he opts instead for loden wool – a traditional variety of the fabric which is boiled. In this case, he swaps the typical military green for black, while the signature Moroccan embroidery is awash in Prussian blue. The result is, as always, a fresh, eye-opening take on classic codes.

Meet the Maker:

Sébline

The value of a well-worn staple drives Anglo-French shirting aficionado Charles Sébline, who founded his eponymous label in the spring of 2019. Much of his appreciation for handicraft comes from his career trajectory, as he passed through houses such as Vivienne Westwood, Azzedine Alaïa and Yves Saint Laurent, where he would sift through second-hand shirts for inspiration.
