Oscar and Claudia – the husband-and-wife duo behind Oscar Maschera – are experts at fusing form and function. Their creations serve a clear purpose while highlighting the many highs of leather, like its softness, robustness and ability to defy both trend and time. The Punti photo frame takes its shape from a single sheet of two-ply leather and precise cuts and folds that are all held together with signature hand-stitching.

Artist-turned-artisan Oscar Maschera and his business-minded partner Claudia Serafini are behind this 2005-founded name. From their home in Pesaro, Italy, they dream up creative concepts that capture the joy they find in fine craft. In their world, leatherwork is a traditional art to be treasured; that’s why every functional home-design accessory is handcrafted from Italian leather, treated with natural extracts and dyed in aniline barrels. Inspiration comes in waves – sometimes it’s fuelled by Maschera’s Argentinian heritage, while other times it can be attributed to the sights and sounds of Italy’s Adriatic coast.
