The Abigail Castañeda woodworking studio adheres to this premise, its raw materials being fallen trees sourced from local forests and wooded areas. Respect is paid to the natural world from which the timber originates, as the studio’s hand-turned bowls and vessels are crafted in a such a manner that shows off the wood’s authentic grain – as unique as a fingerprint. It’s through this intentional approach that the studio demonstrates its reverence for the relationship between the wild outdoors and the artistic process.
