NasonMoretti’s Lidia collection came from Umberto Nason, who had the lightbulb moment to apply reverse layered glass – coloured on the inside and milky white on the outside – to simple, Scandinavian-inspired shapes, as seen with this Murano glass bowl. Due to its 1950s launch, it played a key role in bucking the baroque trend that was taking hold in Murano at the time – so much so that a few years later, in 1955, it won the Compasso d’Oro award.

From exhibitions at MoMA, to exclusive designer collections, NasonMoretti has been uplifting interiors with distinctive glassware since 1923. Founded by five brothers, collections blend Murano mastery with innovative mixing and cold-cutting techniques. Their colour creation method is still a well-kept secret, and they remain the only studio in the world who can produce 22 green and 8 blue shades.
