Madeleine candles, named in homage to the Madeleine church in Paris, are handcrafted from superior-quality wax by master candle-makers with ancient savoir-faire. Dyed in small lots at Trudon’s atelier in Normandy, the burgundy tapers are dripless and smokeless and burn for seven hours.

Claude Trudon started selling spices and candles at Rue Saint Honoré in 1643. Now, the world’s oldest candlemaker produces candles in Normandy using Tuscan glass vessels, woven cotton wicks and the 'Deo Regique Laborant' emblem, meaning 'the bees work for God and the King'. Their partnership with Orne Dark Bee Conservatory reinforces their values for conservation and good beekeeping practices.
