In 2011, Katy and ... In 2011, Katy and Charlie Napier – artists and founders of Sunbeam Jackie – unveiled their first limited edition collection at Glastonbury, UK. Since, they’ve become the first port of call for exuberant outdoor parasols. Each creation is a one-of-a-kind piece of art, pulling together hand-oiled ash timber frames and vintage, antique and designer fabrics that have been sourced by Katy from all over the British Isles. They work alongside a local marine welder in Falmouth who welds and polishes their stainless steel before the assembly takes place at their studio, a 12th-century grain store located in Cornwall’s UNESCO world heritage site.
