Brought together by ABASK, renowned photographer Douglas Friedman and 200-year-old glassmaker Lobmeyr have collaborated on a limited-edition collection. The series, which includes a pitcher and six tumblers, marries Lobmeyr’s esteemed Alpha service with cultural emblems from Douglas’ home in Marfa, Texas – these include a cowboy mid-Rodeo, a Stetson, cacti and cloud formations, all of which have been hand-painted onto ultra-thin crystal by Lobmeyr’s sixth-generation artist, Louise Rath.

Lobmeyr
This Viennese glassmaker was already 60 years old when it collaborated with Thomas Edison on the first electric chandelier. Today, three cousins, Andreas, Leonid and Johannes Rath run the family business, upholding the cutting and buffing techniques of their ancestors while collaborating with some of Europe's most exciting contemporary designers.
