After years running as an architect in London, the call of the wild beckoned Riccardo home to the Italian Alps and an unplugged life dictated by nature’s rhythms. It was here where he designed his front-page-worthy studio-home and began refining new creations. The prospect of charring his wooden works was chanced upon, and today is the defining feature of many Riccardo Monte pieces, lending captivating deep hues and added protection to the timber.
