For over 30 years,... For over 30 years, Emsie Sharp has been perfecting her craft, having studied glass at university before undertaking a three-year apprenticeship in Murano. Following this, with her newly honed skills, she moved back to the UK, where she worked for Adam Aaronson Glass Studio and Columbia Glassworks – before setting up her studio, a former cowshed in the heart of Dorset. Here, she developed the distinctive characteristics of her glassware: bright colours, trapped bubbles, sculptural silhouettes, and Georgian era-inspired imperfections. Our exclusive collection features pieces with rich craft tales; they start as molten glass in the furnace and end with a mark on the base from a metal rod. To Sharp, the process is like “alchemy – or an intricate dance”.
