Meet the Maker:
Kelly Lamb
When she moved to Los Angeles in 2005, Kelly Lamb established herself as a maker of funky – and functional – design objects. Discussing her making process with clay, Lamb says “it’s like an orchestrated dance that’s about this transformation of these personal effects and how they affect the glazes” – the results of such a dance are objects that are akin to aggregate gemstones.
The Artist Studio is an exclusive curation of collectible artworks from global artists, specially selected by New York-based design gallery R & Company. Come visit us by appointment only at 82 Franklin Street Gallery in New York from October 31-December 21, 2024.
